Weekly Summary: MODSonair is out. News is below. ;) I just posted some information in the forums about a site update I am working on. Basically it's about the wiki-styled tutorials that was requested. I am working on that implementation today and hope to have something to show you all soon. I can't figure out why Google is punishing us all of a sudden. We're still not showing up in the front of the pack on searches... even for ourselves. "modsonline.com" works great. "modsonline" or anything related to mapping, etc. don't work well at all. I don't have the time this week to figure out why. Too many times have I heard from friends saying that their web hosting company is aweful. Regardless of the reason, it's tough to find a hosting company that you can trust to keep your website running. After talking with my web company (Tresware), I can now offer fellow gamers hosting. will post a few screeny's soon as a got something to post Map for COD4 based on a real location and actual flooding. Small farmhouse, farmshed and fields isolated due to flood. Expect small 8 - 12 person map. Also as side project: recording creation of map for tutorial purposes from start to finish in a window of 800x600. If created correctly, should provide new mappers with good basic mapping concepts. A system of underground tunnels This is a partial remake of an old BF2 SF favorite - Warlord. The COD 4 action takes place in and around the palace grounds. I have also incorporated an underground bunker system within this map. The map is up for beta and playtesting on my server. =137= Warzone. The map currently supports, Search and Destroy, Sabotage, Headquarters, and Team Deathmatch gametype. Well this weekend I extended the boundries of the map a bit, and I completed the Mosque. I also change the sundirection and I couldn't believe the difference it made in the textures. The sun was originally straight up and everything seemed a bit flat, I moved the sun 45° and it is incredible the way the bump mapping really stands out. I will post some pics later on. 5/9 Completed the Mosque compound, and several of the Hi rise buildings across from the Palace grounds. I will take some SS and post them later. |
