Weekly Summary: Supersword surprised me this week with an interesting post in the forums. Basically, he asks the community what they like about the site and what they would like to see improved. A lot of great ideas are coming out of this topic. It will take some time to make them a reality, but I really like what's being said. We'll do our best to see that many of them actually happen. It looks like I'm going to actually try MMORPGs again. This Stargate Worlds game (mentioned in MODSonair this week) is too interesting for me to pass up. I stopped playing years ago because these type of games just suck me in and I lose track of real life. Maybe now, many years later, I can handle it. hehe. What do you need to do:
This is a partial remake of an old BF2 SF favorite - Warlord. The COD 4 action takes place in and around the palace grounds. I have also incorporated an underground bunker system within this map. The map is up for beta and playtesting on my server. =137= Warzone. The map currently supports, Search and Destroy, Sabotage, Headquarters, and Team Deathmatch gametype. Well this weekend I extended the boundries of the map a bit, and I completed the Mosque. I also change the sundirection and I couldn't believe the difference it made in the textures. The sun was originally straight up and everything seemed a bit flat, I moved the sun 45° and it is incredible the way the bump mapping really stands out. I will post some pics later on. The cave is a new idea that i came up with which was inspired from the days of Quake II but with todays weaponry. Every map that i have played, is always " out in the open ", The-Cave is just as it says, dark, dingy, and above all, no chopper support or airstrikes, which in my opinion, just rack up players kills and annoy those who cant cut the mustard.
